  • Vande Bharat Express (Train 18): This is one of the fastest trains in India, running at a speed of up to 180 km/h. It connects Delhi and Varanasi.
  • Gatimaan Express: Operating between Delhi and Jhansi, this train runs at a maximum speed of 160 km/h.
  • Shatabdi Express: Shatabdi Express trains are known for their speed and service. Some of the fastest Shatabdi trains include the Bhopal Shatabdi, Lucknow Shatabdi, and Kanpur Shatabdi.
  • Rajdhani Express: Rajdhani Express trains connect major cities to the capital, Delhi, at high speeds. Examples include the Mumbai Rajdhani, Bangalore Rajdhani, and Kolkata Rajdhani.
  • Duronto Express: Duronot Express trains are non-stop or limited-stop long-distance trains that run at high speeds. Some of them include the Sealdah Duronto, Mumbai-Delhi Duronto, and Pune-Howrah Duronto.
  • Tejas Express: Tejas Express Trains are known for their modern amenities and higher speeds. The Mumbai-Goa Tejas Express and the Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express are among them.
  • Humsafar Express: These are fully air-conditioned trains with modern amenities that run at good speeds. Examples include the Anand Vihar Terminal-Allahabad Humsafar Express and the Sealdah-Jammu Tawi Humsafar Express.
  • Mahamana Express – The Mahamana Express is known for its comfortable coaches and runs between Varanasi and Vadodara.
  • Shinkansen (Bullet Train) – India is also planning to introduce the Shinkansen, a high-speed bullet train, on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route, with speeds of up to 320 km/h. As of my last update, this project was in the planning and construction stage.
