- GVK’s entered the aviation industry with the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA), Mumbai.
- Later they also acquired Kempegowada International Airport (KIA), Bangaluru.
- After Bangaluru Airport acquisition they become one of the largest airport operators in India handling a combined traffic of over 60 MPPA at these 2 airports.
- GVK sold its stake in Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL) to Fairfax India between 2016 and 2018.
- They also sold their operations at Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) to the Adani Group.
- GVK has collaborated with the Airports Authority of Indonesia, Angkasa Pura Airports (AP1), for operations, management and development of non-aeronautical commercial facilities at Denpasar International Airport, Bali.
- GVK is also developing an International greenfield airport in Yogyakarta, Central Java.
